Most of the McCorristons now living in Hawaii are descendants of one of three men: Hugh McCorriston H-1, Daniel McCorriston D-1, or Daniel Frederick McCorriston. The McCorristons of Molokai are descended from Hugh and Daniel McCorriston, brothers who arrived in the Hawaiian Islands in the mid-1860s. They arrived from Limavady, Londonderry, Ireland, and initially settled in Waiau, Oʻahu.
