A History of the McCorriston Family: Third Generations
Author’s Note: In keeping to the annotation method laid out by the Beeson-Beason genealogy, the third generation only includes descendants bearing the McCorriston name. Female descendants bearing alternate surnames will be published in future articles.

The Children of George Edward McCorriston H-5 and Martha Barbara Marie Schweickert
Florence Margaret McCorriston H-9 and Richard Max Johannes [PRIVATE], Jr., settled on the Kona side of the Big Island following their marriage in 1956, where Richard was employed with the Kona Agricultural Company. They resided on the Big Island for the remainder of their lives together. Issue:
H-13. Richard Max Johannes [PRIVATE], III, born October 23, 1956, died March 8, 2001
H-14. Bruce F. [PRIVATE], born in about 1962, died March 17, 1985
Colleen Agnes McCorriston H-10 and Kenneth Kellogg Smith first made their home on Oʻahu following their marriage in 1958. Colleen later moved to the Big Island, where she resided until her death in 2001. Private issue.
The Children of Edward C. McCorriston D-4 and Mary Kawaiulani Campbell
John Campbell “Jack” McCorriston D-29 and Grace Sosnowski initially resided on Oʻahu after their marriage in 1939. They later moved to Molokai where Jack was the captain of the Molokai fire department and Grace was with Kilohana School in Kaunakakai. Issue:
D-61. Catherine Mary McCorriston, born May 7, 1940, died December 5, 2010, married first Robert Garland Keliiaumoana Stevens, son of Samuel Boyd and Ruth Lehua (Kahanu) Stevens, married second Stanley Lani Roberts
Edward “Mike” McCorriston D-30 and Anna Kaiwahine Karratti settled in Kāneohe, Oʻahu, where they resided together until Mike’s death in 1975. Prior to their marriage in 1944, Mike was part of the teams responsible for colonizing the Line Islands, a grouping of 11 islands in the Pacific Ocean that now mostly belong to Kiribati. Private issue.
Annie McCorriston D-31 died in infancy.
Euphemia Leinaala “Lei” McCorriston D-32 and Emil Emery Tawney met in Guam and married four days before their return to the Territory of Hawaii. They settled in Honolulu upon their return from their honeymoon and extended travels on the Mainland. Prior to her marriage, Lei was both a popularity contest winner, winning the “Lei Queen” title in 1939, and a newspaper correspondent. Emil was a World War II veteran. Private issue.
Catherine Mary McCorriston D-33 died in childhood.
Richard Neil McCorriston D-34 and Norma E. O’Neill settled in northern California. Private issue.
Donald Campbell McCorriston D-35 and Theresa Cornell resided in Hayward, California, until his death in 2008. Donald was a U.S. Navy veteran and, like his grandfather Daniel McCorriston D-1, was a member of the U.S. Postal Service. No known issue.
