Lynn Kanani Daue

Lynn Kanani Daue is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of The McCorristons of Molokai. She is the 3rd great-granddaughter of Daniel McCorriston (1840-1927) and Anna McColgan (c. 1851-1907) of Molokai.

Lynn began writing professionally in 2007 as an information analyst with the U.S. Air Force. Since then, she has published several books, including How to Be a Hero: From A to Z and Byline: A Brief Guide to Breaking Into Writing for Magazines, and her work has been featured in Maryland Life, Verily Magazine, and The Huffington Post. She has contributed to records at ʻIolani Palace and the U.S. National Archives, and has lectured at the University of Nevada Las Vegas and Chesapeake Community College. Lynn has completed the Genealogy Education Programs I, II, III, and V through the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), and her research on the descendants of Mordecai Hagood won the Outstanding Independent Project in Genealogy, Members Course, for the Northwestern Division in 2021.

Lynn was graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2004. She is a member of the Daughters of Hawaiʻi and the National Genealogical Society.
